Strategy that survives contact with your organisation.

I’m Georgiana Iancu, a brand, marketing and management consultant. I work with entrepreneurs and leadership teams to understand what their business needs next, make the important choices and put them into practice — through brand strategy, marketing, employer branding and leadership development.

Sometimes we start with a brand that no longer reflects the business. Sometimes with marketing that needs direction, or a team navigating growth and change. We work from the challenge you actually have.

Not sure where to start? The Brand–Culture Engine is a tool I developed to explore how your strategy, market promise and organisation work together. The self-assessment takes about four minutes and gives us a useful starting point. Try the diagnostic →

Point of view

Growth rarely stalls in the market. It stalls inside the company.

Most companies I work with do not have a strategy problem on paper. They have a gap between the strategy, the brand they promise and the organisation that has to deliver both.

01

Brand is a management decision, not a campaign.

Positioning only works when it changes what the company chooses to do — and to stop doing. Identity, portfolio and priorities come before any message.

02

Culture follows the incentive, not the claim.

If the brand says “solutions partner” and the commission plan rewards transactional volume, the commission plan wins. Alignment is designed, not declared.

03

Friction is the hidden tax on every strategy.

Silos, conflicting KPIs, unclear decision rights. They rarely appear in a strategy document, and they quietly consume the returns on it.

04

Marketing is business. Promotion is how word gets out.

Who you serve, what you offer, how you price it and how you deliver — those are marketing decisions. I help connect them with the people and priorities of the business. Turning up the volume only helps when the offer and the experience hold up.

Client situations

Does any of this sound familiar?

Your business has grown, but the way you position it in the market hasn’t caught up.

Your marketing team is busy, but the work doesn’t keep up with changing priorities.

You want to attract good people and, most importantly, keep the ones who are key to your business.

Your managers know their work well, but need help leading people.

You have a strategy. Now you need people across the business to understand what it means for them.

These are the kinds of conversations I work on. Often, they are connected.

How I can help

Position01

Brand strategy and positioning

Make it clear why customers should choose you.

I help you understand what customers value, where your business can credibly stand out and how to express that clearly. We connect your positioning with your offer, customer experience and commercial priorities.

The work can include customer and competitor research, positioning, brand architecture, value propositions, messaging and a plan for introducing the direction internally and externally.

Discuss your brand challenge →
Focus02

Marketing strategy and communication

Give your marketing a clear job to do.

I work with you to decide which audiences and opportunities deserve attention, what you should offer them and how to reach them. We turn those choices into a practical plan your team and partners can use.

Depending on the brief, this can cover segmentation, product and service portfolios, pricing principles, routes to market, customer journeys, campaigns, content, budgets and performance measures.

Bring focus to your marketing →
Engage03

Employer branding and organisational culture

The employer brand is the marketing mix turned inwards. Build an employer promise your people can recognise.

I help you understand the employee experience, define what makes your organisation a relevant employer and connect that promise with recruitment, communication and everyday management.

The work can include employee research, employer positioning, an employee value proposition, candidate and employee experiences, recruitment marketing, internal communication and bringing values into HR processes.

Strengthen your employer brand →
Lead04

Leadership and management development

Help good specialists become more effective leaders.

I design and facilitate development programmes around the situations your managers actually face: setting priorities, delegating, giving feedback, handling difficult conversations and leading through change.

We work through workshops, practical exercises and one-to-one advisory, with tools managers can use between sessions.

Develop your management team →
Facilitate05

Strategic workshops and facilitation

Make room for the conversation your business needs.

Some decisions need everyone around the same table. I help teams examine the evidence, hear different perspectives and work through choices about vision, positioning, priorities, culture, customer experience or the next stage of the business.

We agree the purpose beforehand and capture the decisions, responsibilities and next steps afterwards.

Plan a working session →
Advise06

Ongoing strategic advisory

A thinking partner for decisions that don’t fit neatly into a project.

I work alongside founders and leaders to challenge assumptions, review plans, prepare difficult conversations and keep teams focused during implementation.

As a strategic sparring partner or fractional marketing manager, I help connect the direction we set with the decisions that come next. We agree a rhythm and scope that fit your business.

Marketing learning and mentoring

Build the skills to make the strategy work on a Tuesday.

For marketing professionals who want to put marketing, brand and employer branding strategies into practice with greater confidence. Sessions combine theory, best practices and hands-on work on real projects. We work through the decisions behind execution: understanding the strategy, setting priorities, writing briefs, coordinating people and partners, and measuring what matters.

Bring the plan you’re working on, the brief that isn’t landing or the results you need to make sense of. We use them as working material, with practical feedback and mentoring that help you strengthen both the work and your judgement.

Available as one-to-one mentoring or a structured learning programme for marketing teams, shaped around their experience, responsibilities and development goals.

My approach

How I work

  1. 01

First understand what is really happening

I listen to the people running the business and the people experiencing it. Depending on the challenge, we look at customers, employees, competitors, commercial data and the way work gets done.

Your experience matters. So does evidence that challenges it.

  2. 02

    Then make the choices

We clarify the problem, agree what matters most and choose a direction. This includes deciding what to prioritise, what to change and what can wait.

I bring structure and an outside perspective. You bring the knowledge of your business that no consultant can replace.

  3. 03

Build it with the people who will use it

I involve the relevant teams as the work develops. A positioning needs to make sense to sales. An employer promise needs to make sense to employees. A marketing plan needs to fit the team and budget available.

That involvement helps turn a recommendation into something people understand and can act on.

  4. 04

    Stay close to implementation

We translate the direction into responsibilities, practical tools and a way to review progress.

Where useful, I continue through advisory, training and working sessions as your team puts the strategy into practice.

A tool within my approach

The Brand–Culture Engine

My Brand–Culture–Performance model, built from twenty years of watching strategies meet organisations. Three forces multiply. Friction divides everything beneath the line — and it is squared, so it weighs as much as two of the other forces. One multiplies whatever is left — which is why a company can be strong on all three numerators and still stall.

I use it alongside research, interviews and other tools when it fits the brief. You can also come straight to me with a specific brand, marketing or leadership challenge.

Electrical distribution · 25+ years in market

Supporting a distributor’s move towards a stronger solutions business

The challenge

The company’s ambition extended beyond distributing electrical products. Technical expertise, own brands and a stronger B2B experience created opportunities to build a more distinctive solutions business. That direction had implications for commercial priorities, customer communication and the way managers led their teams.

My contribution

As part of the Brandocracy team, I helped connect brand and marketing priorities with employer branding and management development. The work covered positioning, own brands, customer journeys and implementation priorities. Alongside it, I designed and facilitated leadership development and one-to-one advisory around live situations: delegation, prioritisation, feedback, role clarity and decision-making.

What the work gave the team

A connected roadmap across brand, marketing and people, supported by practical management tools and clearer conversations about responsibilities.

For managers, the work created space to examine how they led, practise different approaches and build greater independence within their teams.

How we can start

Tell me what is happening in your business and what you would like to change.

We’ll discuss the context, what you have already tried and where support could be useful. From there, I’ll propose a scope with clear priorities, deliverables and responsibilities.

That might be a focused workshop, a strategy project, a development programme or ongoing advisory.

If you would rather explore first, the diagnostic is there for you too.

Georgiana listening during a workshop, in front of a Business Model Canvas covered in sticky notes

I’m Georgiana Iancu. My work connects brand, marketing, organisational culture and leadership — four things companies often manage separately, and where the gaps tend to show up on an ordinary Tuesday.

Around two decades in marketing, communications and management have given me a view from both sides of the consulting table. Almost a decade was spent inside a multicultural technology company, the last five years leading communications, with responsibility for communication strategy, employer branding, management communication and budgets between €70k and €450k. Leading communication through its acquisition made one lesson particularly clear: a strategy needs people who understand what it means for their work.

Since 2020, my independent practice has focused mostly on Romanian entrepreneurial companies navigating growth, repositioning or transformation. The work brings me into conversations with owners, CEOs and management teams, then alongside the sales, HR, marketing and operations people responsible for making those decisions happen.

That can mean developing a brand and marketing strategy, helping a team work through its implications, or staying involved as a strategic sparring partner or fractional marketing manager. I know a recommendation has to work with real deadlines, competing priorities and people who already have a full day.

I ask uncomfortable questions gently. In working sessions, I make room for honest discussion and help turn it into decisions, owners and dates. A little humour helps, too.

The aim is for you to leave with a clearer view of your business, confidence in the choices ahead and practical ways to move them forward.

In their words

What working together feels like

I do not think I could have found a more suitable person with whom to analyse my work, challenges and development as a manager. With patience, consistency and clear procedures, I believe I can move from being the firefighter to becoming the fire brigade commander — building a system that solves problems instead of putting out every fire myself.
